I think the game is good fun and very pretty but it is basically just a copy of geometry wars and I find that leaves a bad taste in my mouth to be honest as it's a bit of a bandwagon jump.

The game it's self is good I have to admit. I prefer thye slightly more polished geometry wars but it's still just a twin stick shooter. Neither of these games have any goal other than points so for a player that wants some kind of game progression this isn't the title for you.

However. If you just want a mindless blast you can keep coming back to you could do a hell of a lot worse on XBLCG.

For starters, Geometry Wars 2 is a great game, but Biology Battle is too. Biology Battle has, I would argue, more interesting graphics, funny little quotations as you play, a cool announcer lady, and extremely fast action. Geo Wars 2 is amazing and has lots of great modes, but the summary is they're really about equal. So 800 points or not, get both. And if you can get only one, go for Biology Battle, it's really that good!

An amazing game that plays like Geometry Wars but looks different! Compared to GW there is a better veriety of enemies, they are not as cheap and more modes of play! On easy mode it takes a fem minutes for the game to become a challenge, however at med and hard the enemies are more aggresive and therefore more rewarding as you score more points. Online was lagfree for me! If you have a friend over there are 12 gameplay modes that are fun to play! Trying to beat your and worldwide players score is addicting. The quality put in this game is refreshing compared to some of the other CGs. Try the trial if you think 10$ is to much, I think its worth every penny!!!

Priced at 400 points I would give this 8 as it is ok. but at 800 points it costs the same as GW2 and it's no where near as good.

And my brothers gamertag scores do not appear on the leaderboarsd. weird.

This game is really fun to play, specially with friends. The eye-candy is very-well done and the gameplay is great. For 800 points you will get a great game (and one of the greatest XNA-based one so far).

To be honest, the trial version is too short to enjoy the full game, and 800pts is on the higher end of all CG's price tag. But you will definitely enjoy it if u're a 2-stick shmups fanatic... so download the trial at least, buy it if you had fun with it :)

So this is really not an review, but anyways... biology battle is probably the only community games that has a leaderboard...

I enjoyed playing this a lot when I peer reviewed it. So take a look if you didn't already.

This is one of the better community games and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Unfortunately its price puts it up against geometry wars 2 and here it really can't compete. For 400 it would have been a must buy at the current price its a pass.

Wow...I am really surprised that I was blown away by this games demo. After shoveling through xna there is a light! It's like geometry wars with a manipulated border, more enemies, and power ups! I love the personal touches they add such as when you get a power up some text appears with a joke and things like the music and voices. It really has a high quality feel. And online MULTIPLAYER! Though I have yet to try that and think single player is enthralling enough.

I'm generally not a fan of games where one thumb stick controls movement and the other controls shooting, but this was pretty fun. If you're a fan of Geometry Wars style games this is a great one you really should try. The bonus weapons really help players like me who otherwise are not very good and I think a expert player would be unstoppable with them.

i love the game, a little more than weapon of choice (the only other good xna game up on xbla) the only problem i had was in the purchase screen, i had to hit X twice to purchase... weird.

First I download all the community games and played some of the demo's, deciding which lucky game deserves my ms-points :P

Then I come down to the finalist: Weapon of Choice, Biology Battle, and Colosseum.

I luved the art style of colosseum, but when playing the real thing.. its kinda buggy - the enermy AI is not so smart and camera view makes me dizzy. So turns out coloseum is not for me.

Weapon of choice is fun. jump and shoot! Graphic and artwork is great... interesting game play but kinda bores me when I played it several times.

Biology Battle is my real choice and they got my points... simply because its my type of game.

And its not boring, I played the single mode more than 12 times now, and i'm still having fun... Want to be the GLOBAL TOP SCORER!!

The multiplayer versus mode is a unique feature... i don't see any other community games provide this much of "modes" in a single title, and many of them are real fun! - worms, turrets and survival mode are my favorites - me and my roommate played it till 3am in the morning!

So I give a 9/10 for Biology Battle, and shared my little opinion on other games. Keep the good work and 800pts for me is worth it if u compare the quality and fun level - its on par with bigger XBLA games.
